Dog-friendly Activities in San Diego
As a gal that is used to sunshiney Colorado summers, enjoying the constant days of sunshine in San Diego feels natural. However, there were a few things that I had to be mindful of when taking my dog out in San Diego for the day.

To keep it simple and focus on the main point of this article, here are a few highlights. Check the weather report and bring plenty of water, snacks, leash and doggie bags for your furry best friend. Also be mindful of your dog’s temperament. For example, a place like Cowles mountain is not great for my introverted pup, Sasha. She prefers more wide-open spaces that are less crowded with both humans and other puppies. With all that being said – see below:
Cowles Mountain
Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve
Los Penasquitos Canyon Trail
Mission Trails Regional Park
Heather’s Hint: Keep in mind to check up on the rules and restrictions of each trail and always be respectful and a responsible dog owner. Remember to keep your pets under voice or leash command, and bring doggie bags.
